Experienced software developer

OneStep Solutions is seeking an Experienced Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will be working alongside a great team of developers within an Agile environment focused on delivering a suite of high quality Web and iOS products which continually evolve to re-invent our highly successful and established product range.

About you

You will have an excellent understanding and experience in software engineering techniques and best practice especially around OOP and MVC development with experience in applying these to business data and process.  You should have confidence in your ability to communicate technical language to a non-technical audience, be able to discuss technical ideas and concepts with your peers and have patience with those of a less technical nature. You should be passionate about quality, software development, be positive and assertive, have flexibility in approach and be alert and comfortable to changing situations.

Most of your day will be spent adding to our existing Web Application portfolio. Depending on your strengths and interests, you’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Design user interfaces
  • Review code in various languages (JavaScript, Objective C and some Swift)
  • Document best practices
  • Collaborate with our business development and support analysts
  • Plan and estimate new features
  • Help Improve our testing and deployment infrastructure


  • 2+ years of experience developing Web Application (Javascript) leveraging Web Services and JSON data with strong design skills
  • Experience of Apple Xcode tools for UI design and prototyping
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices: object-oriented programming, design patterns, version control, and code review
  • Dedication to building high-quality experiences for our users and easy-to-read reusable code for our developers

While the compensation for this position is ultimately dependent upon your experience and qualifications, the approximate salary range that has been approved for this position is £35-£55K a year.

Client Services Analyst

OneStep Solutions is seeking a Client Services Analyst to join our Client Services team. In this role, you will be working alongside a great team and be responsible for managing all OneStep customers (account management) and providing first line support within agreed SLAs.

Main Duties

  • To provide first point of contact for OneStep customers from all channels (e.g. by telephone, email and ticketing system)
  • To help deploy new services and ensure that they are configured correctly on behalf of the Customer throughout the lifetime of the contract
  • To work with the Operations and Software Development teams to identify problems and implement solutions and workarounds
  • Ensure that operational information security procedures are followed at all times
  • Monitor hosted client systems and help produce performance statistics
  • Carrying out fault finding and diagnosis while owning the issue until successful resolution
  • Assist QA Tester with system acceptance testing and keeping user documentation up-to-date by writing new content and reviewing it where needed
  • Produce relevant systems support documentation and ensure that it remains current
  • Carry out deployment of new product releases to customers as and when agreed
  • Any other additional duties deemed necessary as may reasonably be required from time to time
  • Document processes to the requirements of ISO 9001 & 27001

  • Previous Technical writing experience
  • Experience in the operation of server based systems (WINDOWS and UNIX derivatives)
