Payment Channels

OneStep Payment Channels is a collection of fully integrated technologies for making payment plans and taking payments that leave you in control of how much, and when, payments can be taken.  Channels include IVR, Call Centre, Debtor portal, Smartphone, which supports Card Payments, Repeating Card Payments & Direct Debit. OneStep offer a fully integrated Card Payment Service Gateway, Tokenised Card Details and Preferential Merchant Acquirer rates from our Works with OneStep partners, along with Direct Debit gateway software and account validation service.

OneStep provide the best total cost of ownership for taking payments, be it through reducing staff overheads, lowering acquirer rates or increasing overall collection rates through automated processes.

  • OneStep have added a fully managed Direct Debit service which dynamically adapts itself to reductions in debt and/or fees minimising the chance of overcharging that can occur with non-integrated solutions. Bank account details are validated in real-time so your call centre can advise if the details are incorrect, or cannot be used for Direct Debits, etc. and this information is collected directly after a payment plan is made.  As with all Payment Plans you can specify an initial and subsequent amount that covers the entire debt and fees of one or more linked cases. Files for the Direct Debit gateway are produced daily for your accounts staff to upload to the Direct Debit network.
  • OneStep have also added Repeating Card Payments to its solutions portfolio.  As with the above, the system dynamically adjusts itself to reflect reductions in debt and/or fees minimising the chance of overcharging. Other none integrated recurring payment solutions can result in overcharging and in such circumstances  manual correction can be a time consuming and costly overhead. You can create a Payment Plan and specify payments are made via repeating card payments. The system asks for the card details, takes an initial payment to confirm the card can be authorised and then tokenises the card details in a Level 1 PCI Compliant data store to be used for the subsequent payments. As part of the fully managed services you receive reports of cards that may be due to expire and, of course, any amounts that are not authorised due to insufficient funds be it for a card or direct debit payment.
